On Saturday night your Opa Gigi hit Hyde Park to see the Rolling Stones. It was the same venue that the Stones played in their 1969 concert, a tour your Opa saw. And so, 44 years on, he went again. And your Opa Gigi ROCKED.
Meanwhile we visited Julian's house for a German BBQ. All your friends were there and even though it was a bit last minute, it was the first time we'd all been together with the Papas since you were in my tummy. Everyone was excited.
The day couldn't have been better. Despite the temperature spiking, Nicola and Erik had laid out their terrace with plenty to keep us cool.
And the munkins provided all the entertainment we needed.
As usual, you traded smiles with Theo in the sand box until he started dumping sand all over your head. Julian showed you both how it's properly done.
Kiki and Issy shared the drivers seat of the car.
You were all fed a lovely toddler dinner at your own tables and then the girls all surrounded my bowl of ice cream and waited mouths open for their next bite. Needless to say I didn't get any.
After a few hours it was hard to tell where the sand box ended and the living room floor began and the once-beautifully dressed toddlers were down to nappies and smiles jumping all over the furniture.
We felt the hosts were very brave to invite 6 toddlers and 10 parents in for an afternoon, but they did an amazing job and kindly let the monkeys take the afternoon. We can't wait to do it all again!
I love you,
